Hi,
I have not found a thread that relates to my issues, or at least not to my search terminology. So here goes...
My MS Money 2000 Deluxe files once worked fine on my Windows 7 laptop. Loaded them up a few years ago from an ailing Windows ME machine. However, the program now appears corrupted, and I can't locate the original 2000 install files or backups. I think they died with the ME machine without consideration (it has been 13 years and 4 moves).
My issues are in the import to the MS Money Plus Sunset, where it says the file was from another version of MS Money. Typical MS fault indications - no useful information. I am in Canada, but nowhere in the program is it identified as Canadian. The only Canadian terminology is in the account names (RRSPs etc). But I have started to wonder if I actually had a Canadian version.
I tried once before to upgrade to an interim version of MS Money and failed miserably at it (exporting all the files was not desirable at all, especially if it was to find the one non-working file for the upgrader). It is why I resolved to stay with Money 2000 Deluxe. Am I hooped, and just have to move to one of the inferior products out there? Or is there a way to access the MS Money 2000 file (if it is Canadian too), and pull essential files from it, and accept the loss.
Thanks for your help.
