I'm sure hoping someone can help. I have 18 years worth of personal financial data on this file and currently I cannot access it.
I downloaded the Money Plus Deluxe Sunset edition in hopes that I could use it to download transactions from my Amex online account because my 2003 version of Money could not. It still could for my other banks because they use the ofx file types, but not Amex.
The Money Plus Deluxe Sunset edition launched and immediately attempted to convert my money file. It froze. I tried several times and it froze every time. I even allowed 12 hours to pass thinking maybe it was just working to convert my large file. Still frozen.
Then I uninstalled Money 2003 thinking that was the issue. Still froze. Then I uninstalled Money Plus and reinstalled it AFTER Money 2003 was removed. Still froze. So I uninstalled Money Plus.
Then I re-installed Money 2003 from my old disc. It loaded quickly. When I opened it, it tried to open my Money file, but now required a password to open the file. I have never password protected the file. I tried every password I've ever used, but to no avail.
Based on everything I've read online, it appears my money file was from an upgraded version of Money 2003 which I no longer have access to since support is long gone. Money plus is supposed to be the solution, but I just keep getting freezes there.
Can anyone help?
