Hi all,
I am a MS Money user since 1997! I have always used a MS Money 2000 italian version that runs on Windows XP. I am still using it, since I have installed a virtual machine with XP on my PC.
Therefore, the idea was to just turn my MS money 2000 file that I am still using into a MS Money Sunset file (in English, of course). In theory, I should just open the old file with MS Money Sunset.
But it seems to be impossible!
In short, the sunset returns an error like " I can't convert the file because it was created with a previous version of MS Money"
Then I tried a workaround. What I did exactly is to export each single account (about ten accounts, under a single Money 2000 ITA file); then I did create a new money sunset file and I tried to import each single account into the brand new MS money sunset
file. After the import I realized that numbers where wrong, probably due to the different language/format (i.e. for one thousand in Europe we use a dot, -1.000 - while in USA you use a comma - 1,000.
I know I could just start a new Money sunset file from the scratch, but I want to keep my "historical" data file, if possible.
Well, I was wondering if someone can help me with this job. Let me be clear: of course I am willing to pay for this. What I am asking to do is to get my MS money 2000 ITA file and turn it into a MS Money Sunset ENG file. Once you have done this, ideally
I should be able to start from the new file and go on with the registration of my expenses.
What do you think? Any hint? Do you want me to send a MS Money 2000 file so that someone can check the feasibility
Thank you very much in advance for yoour consideration
