I have been using Money for many years. When I got married 10 years ago I stopped using the current Money file and created an entirely new account and file. I still have the old Money file. Everything is fine with both files however the investment data isn't accurate in the newer because some of those investments were purchased before I was married. Is there a way to combine both Money files instead of importing each account separately?
If there is no way to combine the files here is my follow-up question. I would probably make a copy of the older Money file and import each account from the new file into the old. What is the best way to ensure that all the data is imported correctly? Do I use Loose or Strict QIF? I am guessing to export all the accounts from the new file, close it, open the older file and then import each account. I haven't done this in a very long time but I remember doing it and it caused a lot of duplicate transactions especially when transfers from one account to another occurred.
