What are my Wells Fargo options?

Wells is ending support for Active Statement.  Would I just choose a Quicken QIF download and Import that? Is it formatted for Import into Money Plus or do I have to edit the file.

I haven't tried Pocket Sense scripts yet, would that be a better option?

Wells Fargo download activity options:
Quicken® 2005 (MAC) & 2008 (PC) or later (Web Connect)
 Quicken® 99 to 2004 (.qif) (More Information)2 Supported until November 1, 2010
Microsoft® Money 2002 or later (Active Statement)
 Microsoft® Money 97 to 2001 (Active Statement)

 Comma Delimited (ASCII, Spreadsheet)

Sorry, I searched the topics and didn't see this asked.

Import csv files into more than one account

I'm using the latest flavor of Money called Money Plus.  My problem is that I have three checking accounts at three different banks.  As soon I import an ofx file into one of them, Money automatically assumes that all other ofx files "belong" to that original checking account and will not allow me to import it into the checking account I intend for the ofx file to be imported into.  In other words, if I create an ofx file for my Citizens Bank checking account, Money Plus will put those transactions into my PNC checking account, no matter what I do.

Importing Qif files

Hi folks,

I have been using MS money for years, but always inputted ofx files from my internet bank. This automatically knows which account to update and which new transactions to add, all good.

I have however opened a new account with a new bank and they only offer qif files. Every time i download these it asks me which account i want to update, and then makes me go through all the transactions again hitting accept to enter them all.

Is there anyway to get around this, or am i doing something wrong?

Thanks

Error when importing QIF files from Money 2000 Standard International versions to Money Plus Sunset

$

I have used the QIF export import method to import all the accounts in a file ( Money 2000 Standard International version to Money Plus sunset), it was successful. There is only one base currency investment account in these imported accounts.

However, when I import another file using exactly the same method as above, from my Microsoft Money standard 2000 International Version to the Microsoft Plus Sunset version,  an error message appears : "Cannot be imported, Please confirm that you have the correct file".

This file contains many investment accounts in different currencies, could this be the cause of the error?

Also, there are 120 QIF files selected to import all at once, too many can't handle?

How do I resolve this issue?

Thank you and appreciate urgent help!

MS Money 2007 Deluxe - Portfolio Manager View wrong size (unviewable)

Yesterday, my Microsoft Money 2007 Deluxe program decided to alter the view on the Portfolio Manager to a 2" x 2" view.  It is simply a shrunk down view of the full page screen which is pretty useless given the quantity of transactions I have. It does have scroll bars so I can manipulate and view a piece at a time but it is frustrating.  I have not seen where there is even a setting for how large a portion of my screen can be set to utilize.  Resizing the program does not help either. I am assuming either a recently corrupt DLL file or registry setting.  It does this for all my Money.mny files, including the "sample.mny" file they give you to play with.

Used MS Money4 for nearly 9 years on my PC.  A month ago my hard drive quit.  I had been backing up MS Money the past couple of years on a SanDish memory stik.  I changed to MAC computers and found out OS X can't read the SanDisk which has a FAT format.  I need this data for 2013 to do my tax work.  I've tried chats with Apple, Quicken, and SanDisk but haven't found a solution.  SanDisk says I need to contact MS to see what software I need.  Please help.  Bernied

Note for all versions

It is suggested that all Money users keep a good copy of the installation file, even if the need is not immediate. It will be needed if you reinstall Money in the future. Those links can change, so do a search if you don't find the file you need. Since we don't know how long these files will be available, it is best to keep a copy of your appropriate installation file in a safe place.

Regional versions

Money data files are in a different format for each region. The correct regional version of Money must be used or the data file will not open.

It is possible to convert from one region to another only by exporting data as loose qif and importing to the new regional version of Money. Seehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/304254 andhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/178830 .

Old Money versions will run only under 32-bit Windows

Old versions (Money 2000 and earlier) include 16-bit code so can run only under 32-bit Windows (XP, Vista, 7 and 8).

There are continuing changes to the way Windows works. There is no certainty that newer 32-bit Windows will continue to run Money well or at all.

64-bit Windows

The latest available versions of Money, downloadable below, run under Windows versions up to Windows 8.

There are continuing changes to the way Windows works. There is no certainty that newer 64-bit Windows will continue to run Money well or at all.

Internet Explorer

Money depends on Internet Explorer for some features. Development of Money stopped some years ago, so some features in Money do not work well or at all with the latest versions of Internet Explorer.

Money version downloads

The latest versions are free for anyone to use, but are not supported by Microsoft. The download links below are maintained by this forum's moderators and might become unusable at any time.

Remember to keep a secure copy of the downloaded installation file for when you need to re-install. Your data will be inaccessible if you cannot reinstall Money.

Have been using Money98 since new, it updated automaticaly and now won't open any files.

Tried uninstalling the new version but can't reinstall Money98

So, there I am, I can't convert my data to a newer format, and I can't get Money 98 to install. Losing all that data is not an option I am willing to consider unless there is a solution then I'll really be screwed.

The data was backed up on every occasion the programme was used. HELPplease urgently

Can anyone help me open my MS Money file? I was using Live ID email and password but have forgotten the password (many years of just opening the file). I tried to change the password associated with the email address but that doesn't work. All my household financial information is in the file.

I installed the Sunset version when Microsoft discontinued the product.

Your help gratefully appreciated.

I have multiple checking accounts and saving accounts at my bank, so when I downloaded one of them I accidently linked it to the incorrect account in my My Money account. so each time I try to do a download and/or export of this account it goes into the incorrect account. Is there a way to change this so that those transactions go into the correct account.

Help migrating .mny from Money2000 Standard to Sunset

Have been using Money 2000 for years; lots of data saved that I don't want to lose.  Now have a new laptop (Windows 8), and want Money to be moved to that laptop.

I didn't realize Money had been discontinued/unsupported.

I tried downloading the free available Sunset version, but it won't convert  my Money 2000 data file ("was created in another version of Money".). I've tried finding a free online Money 2005 version, as suggested, to act as a bridge to convert my files before converting again to Sunset, but haven't found Money 2005 online.

Really don't want to start from scratch in Sunset version.  Any help to figure out how to copy Money to the new laptop would be appreciated!

Quote Servers Serving Microsoft Money Gone.

The MSN Money team have completely replaced the old quote servers. They are now getting quotes from Morningstar (http://money.msn.com/). This means that all of the older versions of Money which still connected to the quote servers, and which did not have their services turned off, will no longer be able to retrieve quotes directly from within Money.

Alternatives include  HleQuotes, Pocketsense. I use PocketSense  to get end-of-day quotes from another quote server and from my broker. HleQuotes is reported to be able to receive quotes for UK exchanges and some others.

Money Plus Deluxe Sunset conversion fails from Money 2003 or Money 2005

$

Hello,

I am running Money 2003 Deluxe (version 11) on an XP machine.  I want to retire the XP machine and upgrade to Windows 7.  I also wanted to run a newer version of Money on Windows 7.  I have spent 3 days trying all the upgrade paths and nothing works.  I've read, reread, and digested dozens and dozens of forum posts on the frustration people are having when trying to upgrade to Money Plus Deluxe Sunset.  Granted, some people seem to have no issues.

I read a post that I need to convert to Money 2004, however the download link for Money 2004 was dead.  I then found a post about upgrading to Money 2005 and converting my Money 2003 file.  I installed Money 2005 (webinst.exe, which claims to be a limited feature product for the sole purpose of converting older Money files).  It did not like my Money.mny file and refused to convert to 2005.  However, I was able to point Money 2005 at my backup file (.mbf) file and it finally opened in Money 2005.  I then saved to a new money file in the 2005 format.

I uninstalled Money 2005 and then installed Money Plus Deluxe Sunset.  No matter which version of the .mny or .mbf file that I attempt to open, Sunset stalls on the conversion process and then returns a very unhelpful error:

"A communication error has occurred. Please try your call again. If you continue to have problems call your financial institution's Online Services Customer Support."

The only option I have is OK.  I press OK and then Sunset crashes (Microsoft Money has encountered an error followed by Microsoft Money has stopped working).  I checked the event log and it points to a faulting module of mnyob99.dll.  I found the sticky on this site for a patched mnyob99.dll, downloaded, and overwrote the old version.  It still crashes!

As far as I know, in Money 2003 I haven't setup any accounts or financial institutions that connect online.  I read that could cause problems since Microsoft discontinued the online service.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to overcome this?

Thanks!
